The Impact of World War I on Stanstead County

June 13th – August 31st 2014

The exhibition told the story of the lives of the men from Stanstead County who enlisted and fought in the war, and of those who died, and in what circumstance. Secondly, the exhibition explored how the local population sought to honour the memory of those who served and died. The exhibition included artefacts and archival material from our collections but also modern photographs of monuments and Public art dedicated to the memory of those who served in WW1.
