This speaking doll, donated to the Society around 1987 by Mrs. Ed. Lortie, was purchased in Quebec City in 1922. It still wears its original clothing, only the dress and shoes have been reproduced based on the original garments. The wig is made of real hair. The phonograph mechanism is activated with a key located in the front part of the body. A prerecorded cylinder was found on the right side. The sapphire was then lowered and activated with a lever located on the chest. Sound would come out of three openings located behind the head Although this mechanism is still functional today, all cylinders have been lost.
